I bought this bath robe for my mother who is a 5'4 trekkie. The robe is of good quality, perfectly fine for Spring/Summer/Early Fall but probably too light for cold winters. The robe hangs past my mothers knees about 2 inches; which she prefers, but others may not. The shoulders aren't too broad, but the arms are a bit long for an individual under 5'8-5'10 (she rolls them up). Overall, I am very happy with this purchase as the receiver of the gift enjoys it and found it to be a quality item. 4/5 stars

UPDATE April 14th, 2012

Robe material is very linty and has a plethora of small threads. Item also came with instructions not to wash it with ANYTHING the first time. After seeing all the lint and threads that have come off from the first washing and normal wear my mother has decided not to wash it with anything, ever. It is also illogical that the robe would possess any magical qualities and turn the my mother into a Vulcan. Because of these reasons I have changed my rating of the item to 3 stars.

UPDATE July 31st, 2012

The robe is holding up really well (no tearing, fraying, etc) and isn't as flammable as my mothers last robe. It's definitely not thick enough for cold weather and even though she'll need to get a heavier robe for winter she still loves this one. Also, on a few occasions she has spastically thrown her own morning coffee onto herself while wearing it and trying to attempt some impossible physical feat (that she can't actually do because she's holding a cup of coffee, brilliant). Everyone finds this very amusing that the robe has made her illogical and because of these reasons I am bumping my rating up to 3.5 out of 5 stars.

UPDATE April 6th, 2013

The robe still hasn't caught on fire (much to my mothers dismay I think...pyro...) and isn't showing any signs of fraying or tearing (practically a straitjacket). However, some shorter trekkies (or at least trekkies with short arms) will find it difficult to wear the robe while wiping themselves on their porcelain captains chair without first holding the sleeve up to prevent contamination. In other words, if you're like my mother and intend to spend an inordinate amount of time on the toilet wearing this you're either going to need to alter the sleeves or wash frequently. I don't think I would get my mother another one of these robes after this one finally catches on fire or gets sucked down the toilet.
